he `Made by Google 2024` event has ended. After some rumors, Google made many announcements. This event is previous to Apple's typical September iPhone reveal.
The focus of the event is on artificial intelligence. The event unveiled the Google Pixel 9 lineup and the new Google Gemini AI in the devices. They also provided updates on Nest, Pixel Watch, and Pixel Buds.
Besides the hardware, Google announced new Gemini features in Android 15. These new features include the launch of Gemini Live. Also, AI features beyond Gemini were spread throughout Android 15. They upgraded photo editing, phone calls, and more. `We're fully in the Gemini era, with AI infused in almost everything we're doing at Google across our full tech stack,` said Rick Osterloh on stage.
Google started their event with the promise of many live demonstrations of Gemini Live. Also, the OpenAI Advanced Voice Mode is going public if you are a Google One AI Premium subscriber. Google Gemini Live lets people have conversational back-and-forths between users and artificial intelligence. This feature allows Google Gemini Live to react better to human speech and respond more like a human.

The Pixel 9 series introduces a smaller Pixel 9 Pro model. The new phone is between the original Pixel 9 and the larger Pixel 9 Pro XL. The phones have new designs, leaving the `Geordi Visor` rear band for the standard camera block. The phones don’t look too much different than their previous brothers.
The new Google phones have the latest Tensor G4 chipset. The Pixel 9 has 12GB of RAM, starting with 128GB and 256GB storage options. The new phones have a cooling chamber inside them. Google declared they have 20% better battery life despite a lower increase in battery capacity from their previous phones. Also, Google adds new AI photography features, like `Add Me.` This new feature blends many photos to get the perfect group shot that includes everyone in the photo.
Google doesn't revolutionize the screen with the second foldable phone, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. It is slightly larger with an 8-inch display and thinner with a larger external display and camera updates. The new phone also has software tricks, like `Made You Look,` that show fun characters on the cover screen to engage the baby when taking a photo. The phones come with a new weather app with artificial intelligence features. Google said users could customize the app to show only the weather information they want to see.
At the event, Google launched the new Pixel Watch 3. It has a health-focused feature to detect a `loss of pulse.` This new feature can detect if the heart is `not beating in life sustaining fashion` due to cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, and so on.
Also, Google launched the new headphones incorporated with Google Gemini. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 comes with the addition of Gemini Live, making them more compatible with natural language. The buds come with a Tensor A1 chip, the first for Google headphones.
