through its free service, the Apple Business Connect.
Apple Business Connect was launched last year and represents an online portal that allows businesses to control their presence over Apple’s devices in specific apps such as Maps, Siri, Spotlight Search, Safari, or Wallet.
In these new additions, all business owners will be allowed to include the branding on other new Apple products such as Mail, Tap to Pay on iPhone and in the Apple phone app.
Before Bussines Connect, it was a simpler system that allowed businesses to control the listings on Apple Maps, and that system was called the Apple Business Register. So, after the launching of Business Connect in 2023, various places worldwide started to use the service to customize their appearance for consumers on new Apple products. These include place cards, cover photos, logos, and business photos along with limited promotions for customers.
Also, businesses can see now some insights into their customers, how exactly they are interacting with their brand, how they found the business in question, and what actions they take on the business place card.
Comparing how things are evolving, Apple will probably make soon possible for every business to have a profile on this system, even for those who are fully online or provide services operated from home. In addition, every business will have the ability to control the brand presence across more Apple apps than now.
In the interface, enterprises and firms can introduce details about their brand, such as name, category, logo, and website along with a preview of how the place card will be visible to customers. Also, later this year, these details will be used to customize how businesses will be shown on the Apple Mail App. So, instead of the grey logo, it will appear the brand’s name logo in the inbox.
Another Apple new tool feature will be available for iOS 18, which will categorize emails and group them by the sender. This email management new tech feature is somehow similar to the recent new tech features launched by Gmail, but iOS 18 will arrange emails into tabs such as Primary, Transactions, Updates, or Promotions.
According to Apple, brands will go through a review process after introducing their details and the good news is that businesses can sign up today, and their logos will appear probably for customers later this year.
The Tap-to-Pay feature is also getting an update, allowing brands to display their own icon instead of the default category icon. This means businesses can customize their brand name to appear exactly as they want during the payment process.
Set to launch next year, this Apple new tool could help display the brand’s name, logo, and department to reduce spam. According to Apple, these new tech features along with the Business Connect new dashboard will be available almost to every business worldwide.
“We designed Business Connect to empower businesses to present the best, most accurate information to Apple users. With today’s updates, we’re helping even more businesses reach customers, build trust, and grow,” Apple’s senior director of Internet Software and Services Products said in a statement.
