pple AirPods models may soon support real-time translations, launching with iOS 19 in order to remove the language barriers.
According to various sources familiar with the matter, the giant iPhone maker is developing a feature for Apple AirPods that will provide the option for users to have real-time translations when talking with people who don’t speak the same language as them. As Bloomberg News stated, this new Apple AirPods feature is planned to be launched at the same time as the next big operating system upgrade.
So, along with the next iOS 19 launch, Apple will upgrade the Airpods software later this year in order to maintain the rivalry between its earplugs and other devices on the market.
This Apple Airpods feature represents a whole new option for Apple fans and Airpods users because they will be able to have live conversations with various people without worrying about the language barrier. For example, when you have a conversation with someone who speaks Spanish, you will receive the live translation directly into your Airpods. Even more so, to make the conversation feel smooth and easy when you respond in English, your iPhone will play the Spanish translation for the other person.
It seems that this Apple Airpods new feature will be directly tied to iPhones, in order to keep the Apple digital ecosystem complete.
When requested to comment about this new rumor, Apple did not respond to Reuters.
Currently, we don’t know what Apple AirPods models will receive this interesting feature, as AirPods 4, AirPods Pro 2, and AirPods Max are the latest additions to the AirPods models. It is likely that AirPods 4 will receive this feature upgrade because along with this recent launch, Apple introduced the hearing aid feature that helps users who have hearing deficiencies. Also, AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods Max represent the Apple device models, and they also the a higher chance to receive the Live-Translation feature.
