his Thursday, the Apple Music app introduced a new and improved feature that allows artists to create some Apple playlists connected to their recent concerts.
Known as the “Set List” this Apple new feature represents a promotional tool meant to help artists and musicians to have a better connection with fans around the world. This feature can allow artists to transform the set of lists from a recent concert show or even the whole concert tour into an Apple playlist.
The good news is that this Apple playlist will be available for sharing with their fans on the Apple Music app and also will be available on the Artist and Concert pages on the Shazam app.
It’s not hard to understand and use this feature from Apple Music. All artists must first upload a photo to their profile to play the role of the playlist’s cover art. After that, they are free to choose various tracks by typing in a search or just pasting the Apple Music links.
This Apple new feature also has an option where artists can schedule the official publish date. This will allow musicians to choose the exact time of the launching to give their fans just a preview of the whole tour or live performances. Also, what’s cool about this Apple playlist feature is that musicians and artists can change and rearrange their songs to match with the actual concert list.
"Can be a fun way to announce a future tour, reach fans who couldn’t make the live experience, or reconnect with those that were at your show.", Apple stated.

It’s important to know that the Set List feature is powered by Bandsintown. Bandsintown represents a music discovery platform in which users receive notifications about upcoming tours and bands that are playing in their area. So, in order to have this Set List feature, musicians and artists must connect their Apple Music page with the Bandsintown to have more chances to be discovered.
Music fans have demonstrated recently an impressive interest in tools for playlist creation like LineupSupply and Instafest, which can generate playlists based on images from concerts or festival posters. Additionally, app stores feature now more artificial intelligence tools to build playlists.
