Comcast is a multinational telecommunication and multimedia provider company that has been on the market since 1963. The company saw that the market was shrinking and fewer people were using TV cable those days. So, as the TV cable industry continues to diminish, the available streaming services grow and thrive overnight.
Starting next week, the cable company will offer the option to have StreamSaver included in their available plans. The package will include NBCUniversal’s Peacock Premium, Apple TV, and the Basic Version of Netflix, all at a discounted price. The bundle provided by Comcast will come at a discounted price and will be available for broadband customers.
The StreamSaver as an add-on for Comcast Xfinity TV will come at the price of $15, translating into at least 35% off compared with the price for the services individually. Even more so, Comcast will also be available as the only TV streaming Service. This will include Peacock and other 40 free streaming channels that will come at the price of $30 per month.
“These are three premium streaming services that are combined in one compelling package,” Watson said, noting that StreamSaver is focused on boosting Comcast’s broadband business. “It’s a home run for consumers… We’re thrilled to have Netflix and Apple as partners.”, states Dave Watson, the president and CEO of Comcast Cable, at the Media and Communications Conference.
As the CEO has stated, “investing in the network for the long haul,” the prices for the streaming services separately add up to around $23-$25 per month, and the bundle creates a better option for its users. The Comcast Chief, Brian Roberts, stated, “We’ve been bundling video successfully and creatively for 60 years, and so this is the latest iteration of that,”. This bundle is only the start of the streaming services bundles and the future of streaming services.
