with your 5-year phone, all of these have a common ground – UI/UX design.
Over the years when new technology became normality, and digital products started to be delivered to our homes we needed to understand how they work. Those products need to be intuitive and at the same time offer a good customer experience. Think about it – when the first mixer appeared people needed to understand its purpose. Or, when the first food processor came around, it needed an intuitive interface that could be understood by everyone. Well, the same can be applied to digital platforms such as web or app design, as well. We, as designers, need to design for our users. We need to offer good user engagement and we also need to have an intuitive UI/UX design.
If you are new to the term user engagement, well, user engagement mentions and calculates the number of times users interact with your design. It showcases the number of times a user enters and interacts with your digital platform. It analyses the number of likes, comments, appreciations, sharing, the time spent, or the return rate your web or app design has.
When we talk about user engagement, UI/UX design can be exemplified as the input you enter into a certain pop-up. It can also be when a user opens an email and follows a link that is mentioned in the email or it can also be clicking through a blog post.
User engagement is important. It’s what makes our users come back and lets us know what our users like and what not. Even more so, user engagement can help drive sales and make your web or app design be noticed. Yet, as the industry is always changing you can follow some of the UI/UX trends we have prepared for you in order to keep your engagement levels up!
