ub, is the new social media platform that can change everything when it comes to an influencer-driven marketplace. The founder of the platform is Steven Wang,
, a 23-year-old, Harvard drop-out, that started investing in second-grade, Dub, betting on the future of investing in people rather than stocks.
Dub gives users the possibility to follow the strategies of traders, hedge funds, and even those who mimic high-profile politicians. So, in the new app created, users have the possibility of making trade decisions and copying their entire portfolios.
As a result, Dub has already got over 800,000 downloads, raising over $17 million in seed funding, and also planning a new round of funding in the near future. Even more so, the average users’s age is between 30 to 35, stated Wang for Tech Crunch.

Wang also said that “Nancy Pelosi is up 123% on Dub with real capital,”, regarding a trader from its platform “and we’ve made our customers millions of dollars since that portfolio was launched on the platform.”.
Wang also added that “Creators who are good traders on the app are incentivized to bring their audience” as his parents immigrated from China and grow up in Detroit. However, not everyone is sold when it comes to Dub’s vision, One of the largest enemies is the critics who say that the stock picking underperforms passive investing over the long run.
Wang's response is that such studies are “cherry-picked.” (“I bet a lot of those are sponsored by the passive investing index companies,” he added.). And that “If you look at what the ultra-wealthy can do, they’re giving their money to Ken Griffin of Citadel, [because] they’re consistently putting up non-correlated returns year after year after year,”.
