innovation represents a dual-band 2.4 and 5Ghz Wi-Fi 7 access point which has the ability to offer 15,000 square feet of outdoor Wi-Fi coverage along with speeds of up to 2.1Gbps.
The Eero Outdoor 7 will be enough for every home to stream movies directly to the outdoor TV or projector or to have Wi-Fi coverage for all security cameras around the house.
Home Wi-Fi coverage has become a necessity for everyone since more activities related to Internet connection are now made at home, such as remote work, which is a very common activity, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Eero Outdoor 7 is now the perfect Wi-Fi connection device that can bring home Wi-Fi coverage outside your walls, regardless of the weather. The impressive thing about this device is that it can be used with all Eero products and has an IP66 rating which means that can endure very extreme weather and temperatures.
“Our design goals were we wanted it to be able to work in the desert in the summer and Alaska in the winter, it was tested in the heat of Arizona, a commercial refrigerator, on beaches, and in a tunnel with 100 MPH winds.”, said the CEO of Eero, Nick Weaver.
To be able to maintain its waterproofing properties, the Eero Outdoor 7 has only a 2.5GbE port which supports Power over Ethernet and it also has a gasket created especially to protect the device. So, the Eero smart home device can be installed on every wall because it comes with accessories for different types such as vinyl, wood, fiber, or cement walls.
The Outdoor 7 also features point-to-point connectivity, which allows two devices that are placed in the line of sight to extend a network to additional structures such as the garage. This will result in a faster connection.
“Say, if you have a gig in your house, you could easily get 200 to 400 Mbps out in a shed if it’s not too far away.”, Nick Weaver also mentioned.
Priced at $350, the Eero Outdoor 7 is probably the most expensive device in its category, compared with a Wi-Fi 6 from TP-link which is available for half of this price. But, which is indeed true is the fact that this innovation from Eero stands out as a device specially created for consumers that combines Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, IP66 rating with a home Wi-Fi coverage of up to 15,000 square feet.
