electric and autonomous vehicle around the size of a normal bus. The Rovovan is designed to offer transportation for people who want to travel in high-density areas because the vehicle can carry around 20 people in a single trip and can also transport products and goods.
In yesterday’s event, Elon Musk made a statement about this new and innovative Robovan, but for now, he is not willing to provide more information about the manufacturing process, the date of the official release, or the final price of the vehicle.
“We’re going to make this, and it’s going to look like that,”, Elon Musk said.
The Robovan design has a retro yet futuristic concept, with silver metallic sides that feature black details and strips of light parallel to the ground. After you slide out the doors, the vehicle reveals many seats and a generous room to stand behind the tinted windows. Due to the autonomous feature, the vehicle doesn’t have a steering wheel.
Elon Musk also said, “One of the things we want to do – and we’ve done this with the Cybertruck – is we want to change the look of the roads,”.
Also, the Robovan has a similar look to other custom-made robotaxis that are designed by Zoox and Cruise companies, but the only difference between them and the new Tesla Van is that the Robovan is much bigger. But, in China, the WeRide company is acclaiming a similar-looking van.
It’s important to mention that this Tesla Robovan represents just a prototype and we must wait until Elon Musk provides further details about this innovative form of transportation, but the only thing we know for now is that Tesla’s other innovation called Cybercab will start its production in 2026 or 2027. We are excited to find out more details about Tesla's new models of autonomous cars.
After the launching of Tesla’s Cybertruck, these two innovations seem to be indeed the future of transportation around the world. Launched first in November 209, Cybertruck started to be more present in various countries but most popular in the U.S. after 2 years of delays.
