he recently released ChatGPT search engine, based on artificial intelligence technology is now available for all ChatGPT users.
With improved capabilities, AI ChatGPT is able to determine by default which queries need to be analyzed by ChatGPT search, and also users are allowed to select the “Search the web” icon in order to manually search a text input. So, AI ChatGPT search can show various brief answers combined from different online sources along with YouTube video references and embedded photos, considered to be more “rich” content for users.
It should be mentioned that the OpenAI search engine was launched almost two months ago and has a technology based on a more improved version of the GPT-4o model which can present different information from websites such as news, and recent sports scores, together with links from the most relevant sources.
OpenAI announced during the Monday livestream that AI ChatGPT has been improved to be a lot faster and users can now set it as the default search engine for any browser. According to the company, the mobile experience has also been improved and now offers users some information more organized such as phone numbers and addresses.
Another feature is specially designed to speed up the ChatGPT search response time when looking for specific information or sites such as for example for hotel booking. So, AI ChatGPT will not generate immediately a response but will display various links to the most relevant websites. After that, will provide users with detailed data about each provided option.

In addition to these, the OpenAI’s ChatGPT search has now the recent Advanced Voice Mode available, and users will be soon able to access different live web information while using Advanced Voice Mode on both mobile and desktop.
It’s important to mention that initially, the OpenAI search engine was available only for the paid ChatGPT subscribers. Now, this service is available for free, but only for those users who are already logged in to their accounts.
