and also without spoilers. In Amazon’s vision, this new generative Amazone Prime AI feature is able to allow users to spend more time streaming their preferred Amazon Prime movies and shows.
So, Amazon Prime Video will get a generative AI feature that aims to help users catch up on various shows. Called X-Ray Recaps, the Amazon Prime Video tool is able to create text summaries for full seasons of TV shows, for a single episode, or just parts of an episode.
In simpler terms, whether you are an Amazon Prime Video subscriber and just started your episode, you are midway through a season, or returning after a break and need a recap, the X-Ray Recaps feature will offer textual highlights to enhance the streaming experience.
Users will be able to access the AI Recap from the details page of a show or directly into X-Ray while they are watching an episode. In their blog post, Amazon stated that this new generative AI Prime Video tool is able to analyze all elements of a video and provide a detailed report about the main events, places, or conversations.

It’s important to mention that this X-Ray Recap Amazon Prime AI feature is specially designed with guardrails to avoid sharing spoilers of important events and to help keep the summary as concise as possible.
For now, the X-Ray Recaps Amazon Prime AI feature is released as a beta version, and users with Fire TV devices will be able to test this feature on their own. Amazon states in its blog post that this AI feature will have support for other additional devices by the end of this year.
