Cybertruck outperformed every other EV, besides the ones made by Tesla, as the other two best-sold vehicles were the Model 3 and Model Y SUV.
Despite being one of the most expensive models, Tesla has to offer, Tesla’s Cybertruck proves its worth to the customers. This can also be the marking point for big brands such as GM or Ford to start looking for customers for their own EVs.
Even more so, as of last week, automotive research companies such as Kelly Blue Book, put Tesla in third place for sales as it marked over 16,000 sales. Compared with Ford only sold 7,000 of their F-150 Lightnings model in their third quarter, less than half of the Cybertruck sales. And, according to their sales data automaker, from the Mustang Mach-E SUVs, they only sold 13,000 models.
On the other hand, GM had a lot more success with their new Blazer and Equinox electric vehicle models. Yet the numbers are still not as high as you expect, GM only sells 32,000 electric vehicles in their last quarter. It’s also worth mentioning that Rivian, only sold 3,800 EV models of their pickup model.
Tesla made their accomplishment visible on Wednesday when it released its financial results for its third quarter. The EV company also announced that their sales generated $25.2 billion in sales in this quarter, creating a $2.2 billion profit. Even more so, Tesla’s profits grew by $739 million in the sales of regulatory credits sold to other automakers.
Elon Musk posted about the financial results on X.
Another factor that is responsible for Tesla’s profit growth is the fact that they have started selling their Actually Smart Summon feature and their Full Self-Driving (supervised) software to owners of the Cybertruck.
