esla is getting ready to reveal their Robotaxi this Thursday and we are all expecting it. Elon Musk will make a commercialization strategy public
and will also make public the timelines that will hit Tesla’s stock.
The event is called “We, robot” event will happen this Thursday at 7 p.m. at Warner Bros. If you’re interested in watching the event, for the luckier who will be attending the event, it will open its doors at 5 p.m. PT, yet the event will start at 7 p.m. PT.
Even more, the company is expected to livestream its event on its YouTube page and on X. The first teaser of the event happened in April, then promised the reveal of the car on August 8. However, due to “an important design change to the front.”, the date got pushed back.
The release of the Robotaxi also seems to have come at the expense of the next generation of electric cars costing $25,000, which was promised by Musk. The automaker seems to have put away for now the construction of a lower-cost EV, in order to focus on their Robotaxi.
It is also worth mentioning that Musk laid off almost 10% of its staff in order to slide into the “next phase of growth”, autonomy being one of their primary focus.
Investors who have been along Tesla and its growth, have been waiting for Tesla to finally reveal the Robotaxi. Yet, the timing of the event might not be the best option as Tesla’s margins took a hit over the past year as they are linked with the production of the Cybertruck and not only. As of now, Tesla’s third-quarter deliveries were not as expected, one of the reasons being linked to the fifth Cybertruck recall within a year timespan.

As expected a new vehicle would mean an investment in a new production line, factory downtime, and other potentially costly issues, which are not really the investor’s dream. And whether or not we will see a new vehicle or a new vehicle concept we can just wait and see.
We also need to mention that Tesla might run up against regulatory issues surrounding the Robotaxi, as it might not align with all federal motor safety standards.
The place of the reveal is an unusual one for Tesla, as they mostly host their big event in one of their facilities. Yet, for this reveal, we expect to see the Robotaxi on the set of Batman, The Big Bang Theory, Harry Potter, and other big titles that were filmed on the set of Warner Brothers Studios.
