ecently the electric vehicle maker has launched a new and redesigned electric Model Y car, for the Chinese and Asian-Pacific markets.
This new car design represents one of the major updates in EVs since the Tesla SUC launch back in 2020.
The new Tesla Model Y electric vehicle is planned to hit the market at the beginning of March in China and other bordering Asian countries, while the European and U.S. markets must wait a little longer to have the new Tesla electric model, due to the fact that the previous model arrived about four months later in the European and U.S. markets after the official launch.
Internally codenamed Juniper, the new Model Y closely aligns with the changes that Tesla made to the Model 3 sedan back in 2023, along with other new elements. So, the front end of the new Tesla Model Y features a sharper design similar to the Model 3, managing to replace the popular rounded look. Now the bug-eye headlights have been replaced with a continuous light bar placed across the front of the car.

At the rear, the traditional but popular tail lights have also been replaced with a single light that extends across the back under the hatch.
The inside of the car remains almost the same as the already-known ambient light bar from the Tesla Model 3 is present and can be changed to various colors. The new significant additions to the interior are the powered rear seats and also the touchscreen for the rear passengers. According to the company, the suspension has also been upgraded in order to reduce significantly the road noise.
Tesla Subscribe to our newsletter It should be mentioned that the new Tesla Model Y SUV is a few pounds lighter compared with the previous model, but in range or efficiency is not offering remarkable changes. Now, Tesla electric vehicle maker have managed to update all their car models in recent years.
The price for the new Tesla Model Y is expected to be cheaper compared with the Model 3 and also Model Y EVs but we don’t know yet the exact price that will have in the Chinese and Asia-Pacific markets.
