he new Amazon Color Kindle has been launched recently along with a new line of colored e-book devices, and all e-book fans have been beyond excited to test
the new and improved Amazon Kindle model and test the reading experience of a digital book on it.
However, several users after they received their orders of the first Amazon color Kindle e-reader, were disappointed to find that their device has a yellow, almost discolored strip at the bottom or on the margin of the display. For a $279.99 colored e-reader, customers expected to see an improved device that could enhance the overall reading experience of a digital book.
Also, more disappointed customers have posted on Reddit about their complaints, with photos to prove that these Color Kindle e-readers have indeed a problem. They stated that the Kindle e-book reader “is supposed to be evenly lit and colored like a piece of paper”.

Also, other customers have complained about an edge display from the new Kindle issue, that has the same yellow stripe and they requested a refund or an exchange from Amazon.
Currently, we don’t know if the new Kindle issue is caused by hardware or software error. However, a user replied to the Reddit post and offered a screenshot from a conversation with a customer service agent that confirms that Amazon Kindle company is now working to resolve as fast as possible this new Kindle issue. It seems that this yellow bar problem appeared after a software update, so maybe Amazon Kindle company will eventually solve all these customer’s issues with a software improvement.
“We’re aware of a small number of reports from customers who see a yellow band along the bottom of the display. We take the quality of our products seriously and are looking into it. If customers notice this on their device, they can reach out to our customer service team.”, Amazon spokesperson Jill Tornifoglio stated.
Is not yet clear when the display problem will be fixed or if will be indeed fixable. We must wait for new updates in this Amazon Color Kindle situation.
Stay tuned for more!
