Alarmo will be available only for Nintendo Switch Online Customers in the following days.
The new Nintendo Alarm Clock looks like a device that has been taken directly from Mario’s nightstand. With a representative shade of red, the clock has a circular color screen and on top of it a big glowing dial for features like snooze and control.
Alarmo represents the outcome from two sides of the business, first, the hardware developer Tetsuya Akama and the game developer Yosuke Tamori joined and created together a device with the final goal of supporting people during their sleep.
“It was only after a lot of technical trial and error and building many prototypes that we decided to focus on alarm clocks,”, Yosuke Tamori says.
The new Alarmo alarm clock included 35 scenes that are inspired by the most known 5 Nintendo Games such as Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda, Splatoon 3, Pimkin 4, and Ring Fit Adventure. Each of these scenes uses characters, and objects to sound effects to wake users from their good sleep.
Alarmo works simply and users just need to choose a favorite game, pick their scene, and set the time to wake up every day to their favorite characters and games. The Nintendo alarm clock features also a built-in motion sensor technology, that can change the things that users see and hear as they move, and it also allows owners to snooze the alarm with just a simple gesture.
According to Nintendo, every character and interaction on the Nintendo alarm clock will get progressively intense the longer users stay in bed, and once they get up a “victory fanfare” will play to reward its users.

An interesting feature that the Nintendo Alarmo also has is a tracking feature in the night. With this innovative feature, users will be able to track their movement to see if they had a restful or restless night. It’s important to mention that this feature will not work if users share their bed with another person or with their beloved pet.
Nintendo Alarmo will be available starting at $99.99 and will be limited to those Nintendo Switch online customers who live in the US and Canada, but Nintendo plans to make this available to a wider audience at the beginning of the next year.
Also, more games are expected to be available on Alarmo such as Nintendo Switch Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons. We are waiting to see which games will come first and we are excited to see other Mario Kart Nintendo Switch games and Mario Kart characters in this playful Nintendo alarm clock.
