One of his main keynotes was the implementation of advanced prototyping which came as a good breath of fresh air. With this update Figma users will be able to design realistic and interactive prototypes that will also include conditional logic and variables. With this update, the designer’s work will be easier and much faster.

The introduction of AI in Figma was expected by all users. As artificial intelligence is making waves in all industries and software Figma’s update came and introduced generative artificial intelligence. This feature makes possible the creation of a design using AI based on different contexts. The AI feature introduced for Figma also makes possible content replacement and task automation.
A platform for everyone
Another topic that was discussed at Config was the importance of a space where inclusivity is a priority. ASL interpreters were available and closed captioning, lactation rooms, and meditation spaces were available, creating a space where everybody could feel comfortable.
The second day of the event was designed with community-building events, workshops, and inspiring speeches. At the event, you could have encountered talks and speeches between tech industry leaders such as Imran Chaudhri – Chief Designer and President of Humane, or Jenny Arden who is the Chief Officer at Zillow, talking about the future of design and tech.
The participants of the meeting also encountered workshops and interactive learning sessions with experts from various companies such as GitHub, Ableton, and others. The purpose of those sessions is to focus on design development and practical skills.
The event also provided networking opportunities where the participants could collaborate with many other designers and developers and facilitate meaningful connections.
