pple News has introduced a new feature for the U.S. Elections 2024, where is providing for live updates for iPhone and iPad users. The Apple feature was released
on November 5 to provide all the live information about Election Day and will offer various updates until the election is closed. This is the perfect improvement for Apple News readers, who are interested in seeing in real-time the total numbers of votes.
The good news is that users don’t need to actually open the Apple News app because Apple has made this Apple feature available directly on the device's lock screen, so users can see a lot faster the actual U.S. Elections 2024 results. So, if your iPhone is running iOS 16.2 or newer or the iPad is running iPadOS 17 or later this Apple feature will be available in the Apple News app.
But customers who have an iPhone 14 Pro or a later model, can keep the tab open for the electoral count in the Dynamic Island while doing their daily activities on the iPhone.
It’s important to mention that in order to get the updates on the lock screen, users will have to register first. All they have to do is open up the Apple News App and tap on the “Follow the 2024 election live” Apple feature. Don’t worry if this option is not showing up instantly, but look for “US Elections 2024” which is included under the “Special Coverage” section of the app’s menu.
