he recent Apple news comes with an interesting new AirPods feature for all Airpods Max users. Yesterday, the iPhone maker announced that it
is releasing for all music lovers, lossless audio and ultra-low latency audio for the biggest Apple headphones. As the company stated in its Apple news announcement, these two new and impressive features will require the included USB-C cable in order to function properly.
So, with this new AirPods Max update, the AirPods headphones will feature 24-bit and 48kHz lossless audio in order to keep the same quality as the original recordings. According to Apple's statement, the lossless audio feature is specially designed to improve the already existing Personalized Spatial Audio feature.
It is designed “to deliver a more sonically accurate, uncompressed, and immersive experience,”, the Apple company stated in the announcement.
All Apple lovers and music enthusiasts are now intrigued by this new Apple announcement, given the fact that all users are now able to listen to more than 100 million songs using the lossless audio feature in the Apple Music app.
On the other hand, the iPhone maker also released the ultra-low latency audio feature that is designed more for all music producers and productions that need higher-quality audio without needing an expensive listening device. So, using just the included USB-C cable in the box, all music lovers, and producers that use AirPods Max as their main listening device, will have the option to create and mix based on the Personalized Spatial audio feature along with the impressive head tracking capability. This new AirPods feature is specially created for producers to have the freedom of recording and mixing different types of music without worrying about losing the true audio quality.

Not only music lovers and producers but also gaming fans who use AirPods Max to complete their gaming experience will be able to use this new AirPods feature at this peak because Apple promises that the Ultra-low latency audio feature will provide a lower lag time in games.
It is important to know that both ultra-low latency and lossless audio features will be available starting in April directly in the next firmware update release for iOS 18.4, iPad 18.4, and macOS Sequoia 15.4, only for the USB-C version of the Apple AirPods Max.
