It should be mentioned that even though this new MacBook model has more features and capabilities compared with the previous models, Apple chose to start its price at $100 lower than the old models.
The base model of MacBook Air M4 continues to have last year's configuration of 16GB of RAM, which meets the conditions in order to have Apple Intelligence capabilities. For those users that need a higher built-in RAM memory configuration, they can upgrade it directly when buying the new MacBook Air 2025.
It is important to know that the new Macbook Air 13 and MacBook Air 15 can be preordered already and will be shipped starting from March 12.
The Macbook ports have also been a concern for fans when Apple launched a new model. But this time, the giant has upgraded the two Thunderbolt 3 ports to Thunderbolt 4 which can be used to plug in up to two external displays while keeping the MacBook Air M4 display running smoothly. The charging port remains the same MagSafe 3 as the previous models while Apple also maintains the 3.5mm headphone jack port available on the two MacBook Air models.
The camera also received a significant upgrade and now comes with the Center Stage feature, which puts the user who is talking directly in the center of the stage. While the previous colors that were available on the late MacBook Air are still available, such as Midnight, Starlight and Silver, Apple in this new announcement included a new gorgeous color called Sky Blue.
Compared with the MacBook Pro, the MacBook Air has some key differences that make it so popular among Apple lovers. First, it offers a bunch of impressive capabilities while keeping the price lower and it also has a lighter design which makes it perfect to carry on for all daily activities. MacBook Pro is indeed more powerful and has more features but in most cases, it is used by professionals that need great performance.
Even more so, in this week's Apple announcements, the giant also revealed a new chip called M3 Ultra with impressive capabilities that can be integrated into the newly released Mac Studio. In the new version of the Mac Studio, users can also choose to integrate the M4 Max chip in order to have all the needed features for a powerful experience.
