the latest autonomous driving systems for their off-road Fangchengbao EVs.
One of their new EV models, the Bao 8 SUV that is under the Fangchengbao lineup will be the first model that will support Huawei’s Qiankun intelligent driving system. The new and updated care model is set to be launched later this year.
The purpose of those efforts is to improve profitability, lead to more sales for models like Denza, Fangchengbao, and Yangwang. According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, those models represent only 5% of the total sales from the year's first half
Even more so, with the latest technology integration, the electric vehicle manufacturer will now be competing with its competitors who have developed smart driving configurations.
It is also worth mentioning that BYD is one of the most important EV creators, having a major role in the current market, as it offers important cost advantages, highlighting their main benefits. BYD is now working on a better ADAS system (advanced driver-assistance system) as they are still putting their trust in external suppliers for those services.
However, the deal between the tech giant and the EV manufacturer regarding advanced autonomous driving systems provided by Huawei is not the only one. Huawei reported that “Based on these requirements and the analysis results of BYD’s live network, Huawei created an OceanStor Dorado all-flash acceleration solution for BYD. In this solution, HDD-based storage was replaced by all-flash storage to expedite read and write I/O and make the ERP and Business Warehouse (BW) systems more efficient. No changes were made to the live network architecture, databases, hosts, ERP software, or O&M, so as to avoid possible risks.”.
Huawei might also be the provider of Volkswagen’s Audi advanced driver-assistance system, helping their next electric cars have better integration and be more responsive.
