Compared with the recently launched Google Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 models, this new midrange phone model has been launched with a similar design but with a much smaller back camera design. Besides its smaller design, the back camera features a dual rear camera system that supports a 13MP ultrawide camera along with a main camera of 48MP. But Pixel users will also the Macro Focus feature, a capability that is introduced for the first time on a Google A-series phone.

But even with this back-camera design change, the customers will be able to choose from two new and fun colors: Peony and Iris. it should be mentioned that the two neutral colors are still available for this model, and customers that don’t really want a colorful phone can choose from: Porcelain and Obsidian colors.
Besides its design, the new Google Pixel 9a received a significant chip upgrade and now runs on a Google Tensor G4 processor, while the previous phone model had a G3 chip processor. So, based on this processor upgrade, the Pixel 9a midrange phone is expected to run much smoother compared with its predecessor, with other impressive features and capabilities that could compete with the pricier Google phone models.
Regarding battery life, the company promises about 30 hours of battery life, which gives plenty of time for customers to use their phones without worrying about the remaining battery. With 8GB of storage, Pixel 9a comes in two different storage options for customers to choose from, 12GB or 256GB of storage.
Even more so, the display also receives an upgrade, and the Google Pixel 9a features now a 6.3-inch Actua display, considered to be the brightest display that was ever available for an A-series Google phone.
But the good news doesn’t end here, as the new Google Pixel 9a model features a lot of artificial intelligence features such as Add Me, Best Take, or Magic Editor for image editing. For video editing, the new Pixel 9a features an impressive one called Audio Magic Eraser which lets users edit the video audio. On the other hand, for the night shooting it features Night Sight, Astrophotography, and Panoramic Night option in order to take the night photography to the next level.
Keep in mind that even if Google made the official announcement about this new design and capabilities, the Google Pixel 9a midrange phone will become available for purchase in April starting from $499. So, if this model has already captured your attention, you must wait a couple of weeks in order to buy it.
