they are on the path of looking for new solutions that can boost energy capacity and lower carbon emissions.
In a recent move aimed at following a more sustainable lifestyle and technological innovation, the partnership is playing a crucial role in the development of artificial intelligence. One of the advantages of the partnership is a sustainable energy solution. The investment in Taiwan’s solar energy solution can operate entirely on carbon-free energy in 2030.
The investment is a big step forward for clean energy sources. Even more so, the solar developer that will be developed by BlackRock has the purpose of building a larger series of renewable energy solutions.
Amanda Peterson Corio, the global head of the data energy center at Google reported “We expect to procure up to 300 [megawatts] of solar energy from this pipeline through power purchase agreements (PPAs) and the associated energy attribute certificates (Taiwan Renewable Energy Certificates or T-RECS) to help meet electricity demand from our data center campus, cloud region and office operations in Taiwan,”
Further writing that “Continued progress on our carbon-free energy goal is happening across the Asia Pacific with recent announcements in Australia and Japan. In parallel, we’re working with partners to support policies that accelerate the decarbonization of electricity grids. We’re a founding member of the Asia Clean Energy Coalition (ACEC), which brings together energy buyers, suppliers, and policymakers to help improve the policy and regulatory environment for corporate renewable electricity purchasing”.
Renewable energy should be one of our priorities when it comes to sustaining a greener future. Even more so, green-energy solutions are growing more and more in the Asia-Pacific region. By 2030 renewable energy is expected to reach almost 30% to 50% of the energy used in those regions.
