This year, the AI Safety Summit will be hosted in Seoul, Korea, after major concerns regarding the development and advancement of AI in the last year. Korea and Britain will co-host the global AI-Safety Summit to address and discuss the potential risks of AI and how we can solve them.
The AI Safety Summit will be hosted for two days, Tuesday and Thursday, and members from all around the world will participate. They will address the problems regarding the safety measurements that come with the use of artificial intelligence. “Building on the AI Safety Summit: Towards an innovative and inclusive future."
Its first edition was in November of last year in England, and this year, the gathering is being held in Korea. Regarding this year's Artificial Intelligence Summit, “This year's summit will expand the agenda to include innovation and inclusivity, on top of safety," further discussing "not only the risks posed by AI but also its positive aspects and how AI can contribute to humanity."
Artificial intelligence has been with us, making our lives easier for some time now. However, the AI Safety Summit hosted this year will also feature the presence of the nations in the Group of Seven (G7) – the US, Canada, France, Germany, the UK, Japan, and Italy. Australia and Singapore will also participate in this year’s summit.
Even more so, at the AI Safety Summit, there will be participating Tech company leaders such as Samsung and Never. The deputy advisor of national security stated regarding Yoon Suk Yeol, the president of South Korea, that “Yoon's series of digital and AI initiatives and domestic businesses' prowess in advanced digital technologies have been recognized globally.".
With the initiatives taken at the AI Safety Summit and global leadership in the digital world, the founding members expect a positive influence toward a safer environment for their users.
