Microsoft with a warning that the price will rise from $16.99 to $19.99.
The new Xbox console has the power to provide users with a whole new gaming experience, making it more complex and realistic. To enjoy the best versions of video games, these Game Passes are available in many versions to meet the needs of all users. For existing subscribers, Microsoft will increase prices starting September 12, but for new users, these increases will apply from July 10, 2024.
Also, PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Core will charge subscribers more. The charge will depend on the monthly fee for the service. From $9.99 to $11.00 for PC Game Pass subscribers and from $59.99 to $74.99 per year if you have the Xbox Game Pass Core. However, in these subscriptions, day-one titles will still be accessible to users.
Bad news remains as the Xbox company will phase out Game Pass for Console. This pass includes a full Game Pass library but does not have access to online play. Subscribers with this plan and auto-renewal will not be affected, but as soon as the subscription comes to an end, it's impossible to re-subscribe.
In addition to these price changes, Microsoft plans to launch a new "standard" subscription. This new subscription will be more affordable, but it will have some drawbacks. The most important feature it will not include is day-one access to Xbox games but will have online console multiplayer access.
The company will name the new pass "Game Pass Standard", starting from $14.99 a month, and offer access to hundreds of games in its game library. It is not yet clear, when this standard Game Pass will be available but Microsoft states that Xbox Game Pass Standard “will be available in the coming months”.
Soon, a new game is expected to be launched, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. We believe that the arrival of the new Microsoft game is causing these increases. In this way, new subscribers will be able to try the new game's experience from day one.
If you are interested in the upcoming price increases in your country, you can find details about all the subscriptions on the Microsoft website.
