Microsoft Designer AI was previously available only on the web through Microsoft Edge. Now each user, on the web, on a mobile device, or Windows can access all the impressive features available. To test this new app, you only need to have a Microsoft account and you’re good to go.
This Microsoft AI app is very similar to Canva and can generate images and use templates to customize everything as you like. Through “prompt templates” you can speed up the creative process, customize the styles available, and share your template with others. It has no limits and allows you to create social media posts, wallpapers, greeting cards, and an avatar creator available only on Android and IOS mobile devices.
The most interesting feature is that the Microsoft Designer will use Artificial Intelligence to edit and restyle images. For example, if you upload a selfie or a photo and add text with some details after you have chosen a style, you will see your photo fully transformed.
We also got more Microsoft news. They announced that the Microsoft AI app will come with Copilot for apps like Word and PowerPoint. Those who are subscribed to Copilot Pro will have access to features like creating images and designs directly in PowerPoint and Word apps.
The good thing is that the latest Microsoft news don’t stop here. Luckily for us, Microsoft has stated that Windows Insiders will also use the Microsoft Designer AI app in the Photos app. They will be able to erase objects, remove the background, and use filters to edit their image without leaving the app.
To use Artificial Intelligence in your projects, Microsoft gives a preview with 15 free daily boosts. These boosts will be automatically used when you are creating your projects in the AI app or any app that can use Microsoft Designer AI.
“Boosts are automatically used whenever you’re creating or editing images or designs both in the Designer app and where Designer is integrated across Microsoft apps”. says Sumit Chauhan
The corporate vice president of the Microsoft Office product group also adds “You can upgrade to a Copilot Pro subscription to receive 100 boosts per day.”
We think this Microsoft Designer AI app has some intriguing features and we are waiting for more upgrades to take our project beyond reality.
