However, it seems that two new models of Apple Vision are reportedly planned to be released because Apple wants to create devices that can significantly reduce the latency that appears when the Apple device is used with real-world applications.
The 2024 Apple Vision Pro has right now two big concerns: the price tag which is considered highly expensive, and its weight, which has caused neck problems for a lot of users. Apple Vision Pro weights now around 22 ounces, and multiple users have complained about its weight after wearing the device for a couple of hours. Also, The Apple Vision Pro price is now around $3499, which represents for a lot of users an expensive price because it costs the same as Apple’s most premium laptop devices.
So, the first Apple new device, called Apple Vision Pro 2, is planned to be a real upgrade compared with its previous model, because according to the same Bloomberg report, it is going to have a significant chip upgrade, from M2 directly to the latest M5 advanced chip. Also, it is going to be a lot lighter in order to be easier to use for a longer period of time. Besides the chip upgrade, currently, Apple Vision Pro 2 is not planned to have other major upgrades compared with the 2024 model.
Even more so, Apple is also working on another Apple Vision model that will probably allow users to connect this advanced device directly to their M laptops. This way, users will have a lot more freedom to stream the content directly on their laptop display and also use different enterprise applications. So maybe the latency concerns will be solved with this rumored MacBook connectivity.
This model indeed seems more interesting because it offers a significant improvement compared with the other rumored models, but the situation right now with the Trump tariff plan might have a significant impact on these Apple devices.
