paceX Starlink Satellite reaches a new customer milestone after this week Gwynne Shotwell, the company president, told Texas legislators.
“This week, by the way, we will pass 4 million customers for Starlink, which is quite exciting,” said Gwynne Shotwell while talking at the House Appropriations Committee meeting.
Starlink wrote that “SpaceX’s mission is synonymous with expanding humanity’s understanding of the universe. As a result of years of coordinated work with the radio astronomy community, in particular, the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO), SpaceX and NRAO have developed new techniques to ensure Starlink’s advanced satellite constellation can provide critical connectivity options near radio telescopes while simultaneously protecting their important scientific research of the cosmos.”
This step forward means that SpaceX has gained over one million new customers since the end of May. This growth is proof of the amazing growth the company has seen since the start. Since Starlink began as a provider of beta services for their product in October 2020, they reached the first million customers after just two years in December 2022. After that, they experienced more rapid growth, which led to 2 million users in September 2023 and 3 million users in May this year.

Starlink is one of the best high-speed internet service providers. Elon Musk’s company builds internet connections for rural and geographically isolated areas where internet connections do not reach.
This growth can generate $6.6 billion in revenue this year, translating into an increase from an initial valuation of $1.4 billion. Even more so, Starlink's overall goal is to offer connection to anyone around the world, keeping everybody in touch no matter the place.

Over the past four years, Starlink has become one of the best and biggest online internet and service providers in the world. Since its start, Elon Musk tried to increase the market share from legacy incumbents such as Viasat or SES, that operate large satellites in a higher geostationary orbit.
