he giant Amazon is continuing its significant efforts to implement artificial intelligence technology in all shopping tools in order to help customers
increase the number of purchases. So, this Wednesday, Amazon announced that it is releasing a new Amazon shopping feature called “Interests” which is specially designed to create for customers a more personalized shopping and searching experience.
Using the “Interests” new Amazon shopping feature, the usual customers have the option to enter customized prompts directly in the app search bar, which can show their preferences, budget, and other interests in different products. With this new Amazon feature, customers don’t need anymore to just type in the name of the product or a related keyword, because they can now type in a longer description of the product that they are interested in.
What type of technology does Amazon's “Interests” feature use? It uses large language models, also known as LLMs, in order to transform the commonly used language into questions that advanced search engines can understand. This way, customers will have more relevant suggestions based on their prompts.
Even more so, this feature will provide relevant product suggestions for customers and will continue to work in the background in order to notify Amazon users about various new items that become available in the meantime, along with providing updates for new Amazon deals.

It’s important to mention that the “Interests” new Amazon shopping feature is currently available for only a limited number of users who are located in the U.S. territory and use the Amazon Shopping app directly on their iOS or Android device. But, the personalized shopping prompts can also be tested also in the Amazon mobile website, under the tab called “Me”. These users will be able to test the new Amazon shopping feature and see for themselves if it’s truly a significant change in their shopping experience.
Amazon is trying to integrate advanced artificial intelligence technology in all its services because until now, they managed to integrate it in services such as AI shopping guides, review summaries, and more. Also, Amazon recently introduced an advanced AI technology for its Alexa service, an advanced AI technology that is able to make users’ lives easier by allowing them to send directly for exampl,e event invites to their friends and family or even order a grocery list right away.
