he AMD chip company will probably announce some new AI processors along with other AMD chips at tomorrow’s event in the San Francisco data center due to
the growing demand for AI chips in a market that is for the most part dominated by Nvidia. It seems that AMD will probably provide more details about the MI325X AMD chip and its next-generation MI350 AMD that were promised for this year and also for next year’s launches.
The MI350 chip series will feature increased horsepower in computers and also enhanced memory and the AMD design is planning to compete with the architecture from Nvidia Blackwell.
Also, AMD chip maker company is expected to announce their new server CPUs (central processing units) and also new improved PC chips which will include an enhanced artificial intelligence computing horsepower. Meanwhile, the current MI300X AI chip was launched last year, and AMD chip maker was overwhelmed by the growing demand in production.
Back in July, the chip maker company increased their AI chip prediction to $4.5 billion compared with the previous target of $4 billion. The growing demand for their innovative MI300X AMD chips has risen substantially due to the excitement that was built around the generative AI products.
The Nvidia data center revenue should not be affected by this AMD launch that will happen on Thursday, because the demand for this kind of AI chips is extremely exceeding the availability.
