esterday Apple announced the new model of Beats, the Powerbeats Pro 2, about 6 years after the debut of the original Powerbeats. The new Powerbeats Pro 2 has
kept the sports look that is perfect for workouts due to the earphone’s hook that prevents the Powerbeats from sliding off the ear while working out.
Apple has made various improvements to this new model such as a better sound, improved battery life with a wireless charging case, and new vibrant colors. The Powebeats Pro 2 comes in 4 dynamic shades: Quick Sand, Electric Orange, Hyper Purple, and the classic Jet Black.
However, the most impressive new feature that Apple Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 has is the addition of built-in heart rate monitoring. The heart rate monitor is created to trigger during workouts and offers real-time monitoring data based on its integrated LED optical sensors.
The monitoring is available in the Apple Health App but it is also compatible with other fitness apps such as Open, Slopes, Peleton, Nike Run Club, Ladder, Runna, or YaoYao. It should be mentioned that Strava, which is a significantly popular health app is not included yet in this Powerbeats Pro capability list.

With every new product launched, Apple company focuses on including more health features, as they launched the AirPods Pro 2 a hearing aid feature. While most of the Apple products are created for general lifestyle use, Powerbeats products are focused on providing a smooth listening experience for fitness lovers.
So, according to Apple the new Powerbeats Pro 2 has been tested on about 1,000 athletes and claims that these earbuds feature an IPX4 sweat resistance rating. To have the best listening experience, Apple stated that Powerbeats Pro 2 has a 10-hour battery life with a total battery for the charging case of up to 45 hours. The case has now the option to be charged using the new USB-C port or using a wireless charger.
Also, the sound quality is improved on the new model, with an additional Spatial Audio feature that is based on the head movements, and the Adaptive EQ technology aims to adjust the sound quality based on the wearer’s ear shape.
The overall weight of the earbuds has decreased significantly by about 20% compared with the previous Powerbeats mode, and the ear hook, which is specially created to be used for fitness, is now made of a nickel alloy for improved strength.
The Apple Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 is already available to be purchased on the Apple website, with a price that is the same as the previous model of $250. The new Powerbeats model is expected to be available in the stores starting on February 13.
