his Monday, ElevanLabs, a startup that provides AI voices and text-to-speech API, launched the possibility of building conversational AI bots.
ElevenLabs announced to users the possibility of building complete conversational agents on their platform. The AI bots also come with the possibility of changing and customizing voices as well as variables such as tone of voice, and response length. So, if you are interested in making an AI boot more jolly, or more serious you can do that with ElevanLabs’s latest update.
ElevenLabs is a startup that aims to develop artificial intelligence voices that make communication universally available for anyone. They develop “AI audio models that generate realistic, versatile, and contextually-aware speech, voices, and sound effects across 32 languages. Our product team tailors these models to the needs of everyday users, prosumers, and businesses.” ElevenLabs wrote on their website.
Sam Sklar, the head of growth, spoke to TechCrunch and reported that users were already using the ability to create conversational AI agents with their program. Yet, customers were having some troubles when it came to integrating the knowledge base, and the usual interactions customers usually have in their speech. So, this is when the company decided to build a special pipeline for conversational bots.
So, with this new update, users can now log into their ElevanLabs account and start creating a conversation agent by simply choosing a template and creating a project around it. So, you can simply choose the AI chatbot’s primary language, and what the first message should look like, and do not forget about the system’s prompt that is needed to determine the agent’s persona.

Even more so, when creating an AI chatbot, developers will also need to select a large language model such as Gemini or GPT, the temperature of responses where they establish the level of creativity the responsive should have, and the token usage limit.
ElevanLabs also gives them the ability to change aspects regarding their voice, latency, stability, authentication criteria, and maximum length of a conversation. Users can also add their own knowledge base such as files, URLs, and text blocks that power conversational bots. And, if you are looking for an extra customization level, Eleven Labs is also offering WebSocket API.
As of now, the artificial intelligence voice customization company is looking forward to raising new funding at a valuation of $3 billion.
