Google Maps is scheduled to be released in November and will include some features to improve the driving experience. For example, Google Maps will have a blue line to indicate which lane the driver needs to be on, and where to make the next turn, and the map will display other things such as crosswalks, signs, and lane directions.
The improved navigation features were specially created to make the driving experience less stressful in various unfamiliar areas and will be available first only for 30 metros in the US, on both Android and iOS operating systems. It’s important to know that even if these Google new features are not available to everyone, the company plans to expand this Google Maps update for worldwide use.
The Gemini AI tool has its place in this Google Maps app because users can now ask the app for inspiration about where to eat for example, or where to party with their friends. So, based on the Gemini generative AI, Google Maps will provide ideas and places for app users.
Also, Google Maps will release an update for its destination guidance feature that was initially released in July this year. So, now, the new update will be able to highlight the destination along with the building entrance, and will also show the nearby available parking sports or parking location reminders. But what’s impressive is that the giant is working to expand the reporting system on the Google Maps app to show the extreme weather conditions that might have a serious impact on driving experience, such as low visibility, snow, or flooding.
