he giant Microsoft delays again the launching of the AI Recall Feature for its Copilot Plus PCs. Recall represents a feature created for the Copilot Plus PC
which is able to take screenshots of almost everything that users do and also see on their laptops. Back in August the software company confirmed that the new AI Recall feature won’t be available until October. Now they are providing a new statement and delaying the Recall launch.
According to the senior product manager of Windows, Brandon LeBlanc, the company is “committed to delivering a secure and trusted experience with Recall. To ensure we deliver on these important updates, we’re taking additional time to refine the experience before previewing it with Windows Insiders,”.
“Originally planned for October, Recall will now be available for preview with Windows Insiders on Copilot Plus PCs by December.”, he also stated for The Verge.
For the first Copilot delay, Microsoft was forced to postpone the Recall launch due to some security concerns that were raised about the Microsoft Copilot Plus PC debut. So, after the delayed release, the new Recall feature was planned to come just weeks later but Microsoft decided that it needs more time to finish and improve this generative AI feature.

The Microsoft AI Recall feature uses various artificial intelligence models that are built into Windows 11 and Microsoft Copilot Plus PCs. Based on these artificial intelligence models, Recall is capable of capturing screenshots of everything users see or do on their computers to further provide an easy way to search and retrieve the content that users have already seen. So, it features an interactive timeline that allows users to scroll through various snapshots in order to revisit activities from their PCs.
It’s important to know that the AI Recall feature will not be mandatory for the Copolot Plus PC and users are free to disable it whenever they want.
It seems that Microsoft plans to launch the AI Recall feature in December to end the Microsoft Copilot delay, But for now, we must wait to see if this is true or if Microsoft is just trying to postpone this launch as much as possible.
Stay tuned for more updates!
