he Sonos mobile app has finally released a new update for their mobile app to handle the fallout from the terrible redesign. This app update was expected to
solve all the problems and complaints about its functionality, but it addresses just a fraction of them.
The new version of the app indeed adds enhanced accessibility settings and improved stability during the setup process of every product, but each user wanted this app update to be the one to solve all their problems.
Sonos will reintroduce the ability to clear your music queue available from your Android device, a feature that has been long overdue since the mobile app’s relaunch. Also, Sonos will add a Night Mode toggle designed for the sound bars that enhance the dialogue without needing to turn up the volume on your TV.
Sonos has informed the users via email and stated that they can check for the new update on their iOS or Android app stores and download the version once it is available.
Other improvements are expected as well soon because Sonos has a long list of features that are waiting to be launched. After the launch of the controversial redesign in May this year, the CEO of Sonos Patrik Spence apologized to customers for disappointing them and stated that their number one priority is going to be fixing all the mobile app’s issues. This statement has led to the delayed launch of some new products.
But now, Sonos is preparing to launch these key products. It seems like after this delay, things are moving forward and according to a leak, Sonos will have a new Sonos Sub and Sonos Arc very soon.
Arsène Lupin, the one who posted on X (formerly Twitter) the leak stated that "The products will be marketed as 'Sub 4' and 'Arc Ultra'. The Sub 4 features a matte finish, dual force-canceling woofers, and is available in white and black."

He also added in his statement that "Arc Ultra is a soundbar which is also available in Black and White. It has what Sonos calls a 'Sound Motion technology' which gives a balanced sound that surrounds you precisely from every direction'."
Arsene Lupin didn’t include a launch date in this post, but Sonos needs to launch them as soon as possible to satisfy their customers with some new and improved products. All we can do is advise you to stay tuned for more information and updates about the Sonos app and its products!
