OpenAI news account hacked on X by crypto scammers
The official press account of OpenAI news appears to have been compromised on the platform X on September 23rd after another crypto scam. The hackers posted a suspected phishing link on OpenAI Newsroom, promoting a supposedly new “$OPENAI” token.
This marks the fourth attack in which OpenAI has fallen victim to a crypto scam on X, once again by the same hackers who have also targeted the company’s official accounts in the previous months. It’s also the fifth reported security breach incident since the beginning of 2023.
This time, the crypto scam has affected the official Open AI news account.
X users noticed the OpenAI news account might have been hacked as early as 10:24 PM UTC.
The post on the X account linked to a suspicious phishing website with a prominent button of “CLAIM $OPENAI”. Of course, the token doesn’t exist, and the website was created to mimic the official OpenAI account, encouraging people to connect their crypto wallets.
Previous OpenAI-related hacks promoted a similar message regarding the $OPENAI crypto token. These attacks, including the one on the Open AI news account, are likely an attempt to steal users’ login credentials.

Meta’s AI chatbot will feature the voices of Dame Judi Dench, John Cena, and more
Meta will soon announce a new update to its AI chatbot at Meta Connect. A source told Reuters that the organization secured deals with multiple actors to give the Meta AI chatbot a voice.
Dame Judi Dench, John Cena, Kristen Bell, Awkwafina, and Keegan-Michael Key are among the actors who will lend their voices. This update aims to make AI conversations more engaging and personalized. The new audio feature of the Meta AI chatbot will also include multiple generic voice options.
The new audio capabilities will be illustrated for the first time at the annual Meta Connect conference.
Earlier this summer, reports emerged that Meta was negotiating with several celebrities to use their voices for AI purposes. Last week, Mark Zuckerberg went on Instagram to post a promotional video featuring John Cena, both wearing the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses – the first product to include the Meta AI chatbot. This addition will surely further boost Meta performance in 2024.
The celebrity voices of the AI conversation chatbot are reportedly to launch first in the United States and other English-speaking countries across Meta’s apps – Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
Nvidia’s stock is no longer the best performer in the S&P 500 this year. Meet Vistra Corp!
This year’s S&P 500 top performer is no longer Nvidia’s stock. Instead, it’s Vistra – a “unicorn” that has recently joined the index and is capitalizing on another sector of the artificial intelligence boom.
Vistra Corp stock overtook Nvidia stock last week, becoming the best performer in this year’s SP500. By Friday’s close, Vistra shares have surged 180% this year, surpassing Nvidia’s 134% gain.
The electricity company’s success is fueled by the increased demand to feed artificial intelligence data centers. This surge has driven Vistra stock to over 300% in the past 12 months, reflecting optimism regarding nuclear energy.
Although no one is sure about the future NVDA stock or VST stock, everyone is closely watching nuclear-power businesses, especially Wall Street. This is why the impressive rally in Vistra energy could prevent Nvidia from securing consecutive titles as the SP500 top annual performer – even though there’s still much market action ahead. Nvidia share finished as the biggest gainer in 2023.
Nintendo files a new mysterious device with the FFC – could Nintendo VR be on the way?
Last week, Nintendo reportedly submitted a new filing to the Federal Communication Commission (FCC), revealing that the major company is currently working on developing a new wireless device. And no, it’s not Switch 2.
Although Nintendo initially set a deadline to announce Switch 2 before April 2025, it appears they are currently on an entirely new product line. According to The Verge, who have spotted the listing, the latest Nintendo news says that it’s only tagged as a “wireless device”.
While it’s not yet revealed what the device might be, we’re sure it’s something other than the Switch 2 due to the codes given on the devices. The latest Nintendo news states that the new device is set to carry the code CLO-00, distinguishing it from the original Switch device (HAC-001) or DS consoles (NTR-001).
The most exciting detail we have regarding the new device is that it will feature a 24GHz mmWave sensor. The latest Nintendo news explains that it might be a radar sensor that tracks movement and gestures, hinting at the possibility of Nintendo VR being on its way.

Google TV Streamer 4K Review: First Impressions
Google has finally built an incredible operating system for watching TV. After a couple of years, a few pivots, and several name changes, Google has released its most refined version yet: Google TV.
Google TV features an increased storage capacity, a built-in ethernet port, a faster processor, and enhanced smart home capabilities. Google TV Streamer 4K is an incredible upgrade from Google Chromecast. However, it’s not faster than other devices, and definitely not better.
The Google TV interface supports resolutions up to 4K HDR at 60fps, offering impressive video formats, including Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10 Plus, and HLG. These are some nice features, as it provides an excellent streaming UI with a Google Assistant on board. The devices come with 4GB of memory and 32GB of storage, which is four times the Chromecast's storage capacity.
Google TV can handle voice commands very well – hooray! While it’s not perfect, it’s able to learn patterns, which will be helpful in the future.
One particular feature everyone loves is that the setup process is extremely easy. You can create multiple profiles and pick whatever you want to download, and the entire process takes just 10 minutes. The Streamer’s voice assistant, which is based on Google Assistant, makes it even faster.
The Streamer 4K is priced at $99.99, and it’s a clear upgrade from the Google Chromecast in every way.
