ven though TikTok is currently experiencing an unusual situation in the U.S. territory, the social media platform has begun to run some tests for a new TikTok for
Artists platform, which has been developed especially for performers and artists to create and support their careers.
TikTok for Artists, as this platform is called, is being tested now only 5 countries - New Zealand, Japan, Australia, Indonesia, and Korea, and was created in order to allow performers and artists to promote their most recent songs and analyze how they can improve their engagement with the TikTok followers based on various performance metrics.
According to Music Ally, the source that revealed this new TikTok launch stated that even if TikTok for Artists is currently available for testing just in those 5 countries, the company is planning to release a worldwide version soon in order to allow all artists to promote their creations and engage with their followers.
As the TikTok for Artists website states, all performers are able to use it in order to create different campaigns that promote newly released songs or even creations that are about to be released. Using the TikTok artists for the social media platform, performers can also create monetization and engagement campaigns in which to offer followers access to an unreleased album directly on their Spotify or Apple Music.
It should be mentioned that artists will also be able to get detailed information about the performance of their posts, in order to understand and improve the next posts in different regions, countries, or for a certain target audience. But an interesting new feature of this social media platform is that performers have the option to emphasize certain fan videos to build a strong community on the platform, and their videos will be exposed directly in the specially created social media section called “Music Tab Fan Spotlight”.

We must admit, that this TikTok Artists platform's subtle launch can be an effort to extend the operations outside the U.S. territory if the current situation will not have a good outcome. The TikTok ban has a deadline of tomorrow if the parent company ByteDance will not sell TikTok’s U.S. operations to a non-Chinese buyer.
As the negotiations are going on, we are not sure if the parent company will be able to maintain the social media platform operational in the U.S. It should be also mentioned that TikTok experienced a U.S. ban a couple of months ago due to a U.S. law that required ByteDance to sell the app or face a TikTok ban based on national security concerns.
After only 12 hours of TikTok's U.S. ban, Donald Trump has extended this deadline to 75 days that are due on April 5.
Stay tuned to find out if TikTok will be banned again in the U.S., or if its U.S. operations will be sold to a non-Chinese buyer!
