n today’s Elon Musk X news, the social media platform, owned by Elon Musk has recently raised the price for the Premium+ plan in various markets starting this month.
This decision is driven by the company's plans to increase the payments for the creators that are posting on X (formerly Twitter).
So, according to a blog post, the top tier plan for Elon Musk’s X social media platform has a price now of $22 per month for all U.S. users, raised from the previous initial price of $16. It should be mentioned that the app's basic plan subscriptions will continue at the same X prices of $3 and $8 per month. Also, the annual subscriptions suffered an X app price change and managed to increase up to $229 annually compared with the previous $168 X price.
Even more so, in October, the social media platform X changed its revenue-sharing prices to make sure that all subscription fees will have advantages to creator payouts, focusing more on content quality and engagement rather than relying only on ad views.

It’s important to know that these updated X app prices will apply for now only for the new subscribers because the current members will have the previous price until 20 January.
The Premium+ subscription plan provides its members with an add-free browsing experience and access to Grok AI chatbot and Radar, tools that are able to offer analytics in real-time about the latest trends along with keyword tracking features.
But it seems that not only the U.S. users will have to pay more as the international market suffers similar X price increases. So, for the European Union X app users, the price for the Premium+ subscription is now €21monthly instead of the previous €16 per month.
For the Canadian citizens that are subscribed to the Premium+ plan, the X price is currently $29 per month instead of $20.
It’s true that these U.S. increased prices will have consequences depending on the country. While some countries are not facing a dramatic price increase, others such as Nigeria will face a X price increase of up to ₦34,000 monthly instead of the initial ₦7,300. The same for the Turkey X app users that have a Premium+ subscription, which will have to pay ₺770 for the ads-free plan, compared with the initial ₺300 per month.
Stay tuned to see how this X price increase will affect other countries!
