generate a video from still images along with other useful tools in Premiere Pro.
Generative Extend represents the first tool that will be launched in a beta version of Adobe Premiere Pro and all editors can use it to extend the beginning or the end of footage and also can make different adjustments in the mid-shot like correcting an unexpected movement.
It’s important to mention that Generative Extend can only extend the videos by two seconds, so it’s more suitable for some small adjustments but is still a very useful feature that might replace the need to retake the video. For this feature, all extended videos can be generated in 720p or 1080p at only 24 FPS.
Another great thing that Generative Extend can do is smooth an audio or even extend it, by up to ten seconds. For example, you can extend different sound effects such as the “room tone” but you will not be able to extend the spoken dialog or music.
Besides this feature, other two video artificial intelligence generative tools will be available. The Adobe AI Text-to-Video and Adobe AI Image-to-Video were first announced in September but they are now being launched for a limited number of users in beta version on the Firefly Web app.
The Text-to-Video feature is very similar to other AI video generators such as Runway or OpenAI’s Sora. Users can write a text description for the thing they want to generate, and this feature will copy various styles such as regular real film, stop motion, or 3 animations. The good news is that generated videos can be edited later by using some “camera controls” to change the angles, motion, or shooting distance.
Also, the Image-to-Video feature is even better because it allows users to add a reference image with a text prompt to have good control over the final result. According to Adobe AI, this feature can be used to make a b-roll from images or to help visualize the reshoots using the uploading from an existing video.
It’s important to mention that videos that are created or just edited with the help of the Adobe Firefly model can be embedded with Content Credentials to reveal the artificial intelligence usage and also the ownership rights when publishing online.
For now, we don't know for sure when these tools will come out from the beta version, or what price will have in Adobe Premiere Pro cost. What we know for sure is that users can use them because they are publicly available compared with other tool generators.
The Adobe AI video will launch Monday at the Adobe Max conference where the company will launch these tools powered by artificial intelligence, and other creative apps. Stay tuned for more updates!
