ecently, the Apple AI giant announced the release of the new version of iOS 18, iOS 18.2, along with an iPadOS 18.2 version for iPad and macOS Sequoia
15.2 for Apple Macbook. Along with these new software versions, Apple also launched some new Apple Intelligence features such as Image Playground, Genmoji, and the long-awaited ChatGPT integration. So, after yesterday morning's announcement made officially on their website, all these new launches started to be available for public use, along with new minor updates for Apple HomePod , Apple TV , and Apple Vision Pro .
The new Image Playground offers the opportunity for users to generate images directly from a prompt and also generate an image based on various Apple AI suggestions. The images generated through Image Playground tend to have a cartoony finish rather than a realistic note in order to prevent all potential abuses and defamatory use. It should be mentioned that this new Apple AI feature is available for public use as a standalone app but it can also be found integrated into Keynote, Freeform, and Messages app. With the new Apple update, Genmoji will allow users to generate their own unique emoji images, which is most likely to become popular in group chats. Similar to this integration, the Notes app gets a tool called “Image Wand” which can transform the most rough drawings into detailed images. After this transformation, users will be able also to choose from one of the styles available such as animation, illustration, or sketch.

This new Apple update includes a composing tool that can generate text based on the user’s current writing content as well as ChatGPT’s text-to-image feature which allows users to introduce images straight into the document.

Also, other new features are included in the iOS 18.2 Apple update such as Visual Intelligence and the ability to share the AirTag locations through a link. Regarding Apple AI Intelligence English support has been expanded to other countries such as Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, and South Africa. Also, some additional languages have been integrated such as Chinese, French, Portuguese, and Spanish.
