hatsApp is an accessible communication app founded in 2009 by Brian Acton and Jan Koum, currently owned by the former Facebook company.
This Meta group allows users to freely send texts or audio messages, pictures, videos, documents, contacts, and even location coordinates. It can also be used for voice or video calls where multiple users can participate. The app can be downloaded on computer and mobile devices, and to use it, users need to provide a phone number and ensure an Internet connection.
On the other hand, the Metaverse is a vague notion that refers to a virtual world in which people are represented by avatars, online characters who often have the same features as the natural person who controls them. The Metaverse idea is mainly associated with sophisticated technological equipment like virtual headsets.

WhatsApp: New features launched
Among other newly launched WhatsApp features, such as real-time AI-generated images in chats powered by the AI Llama Chatbot, Meta is also allegedly working on incorporating an AI generator that may allow users to transform their pictures and wishes into personalized avatars.
According to the WABetaInfo source, a website that has covered all WhatsApp news and updates since 2016, the new upcoming feature was observed in the 2.24.14.7 Android Beta version of WhatsApp. It would combine users’ images and text crumbs to create new customized avatars.
The source also claims that users may get creative by choosing and indicating any background for their avatars.
Users who want to create their AI avatars will have to take a photo of themselves once so the Meta AI can learn how they look and reproduce AI characters with the same features. After this “pre-setting” step, users will have to write the phrase “Imagine me” with a brief description setting in the Meta AI Chat or type “@Meta AI Imagine me…” in any other WhatsApp conversation.
Of course, the supposed feature would be optional, and it would previously demand a manual “allow” step from the users before the generative AI extension could be used. Users can remove and replace the reference photo whenever they wish by accessing the Meta AI settings panel.
There is no official information about the new AI feature release date, as Meta continues to include and improve the AI assistance technology for its social platforms in many ways.
